TEHRAN – Mojdeh Gallery in Tehran will offer a collection of works by 78 Iranian photographers during an auction, which will be organized on Friday.

Works by outstanding photographers such as Abbas Kiarostami, Arman Estepanian, Shadi Qadirian, Afshin Shahrudi, Sara Sasani and Babak Kazemi are scheduled to be put on display in an exhibition, which will be curated by Babak Haqqi, the gallery announced on Tuesday.

“What you buy is not a photo but the price of the personal view of an artist and his/her art in refining an external truth and highlighting an idea,” Haqii said.

“But how one can inform others of the value of a photo as an artwork? The exhibitions and auctions might help introduce this art to devotees and art collectors,” he added. 

The exhibition will be running until August 31 at the gallery located at No. 27, 18th Alley off North Allameh Blvd. in the Saadatabad neighborhood.
