The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Melli Ian (BMI) pointed to the launch of “Melli Plus” at the bank branch and said that setting up and introducing a new communication space to customers in the main aim behind launching the platform, so that these branches are a manifestation of future of branches of the bank.

Abbas Shafiei the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Melli Iran (BMI) made the remarks and pointed to the necessity of changing the modern-day banking procedure and added, “In different studies made in the worldwide to draw the profile of the bank after the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, it can be considered as a historical origin in businesses and the digital developments.”

In addition, the images presented in this study of the future banks are almost similar to the “Melli Plus” that Bank Melli Iran (BMI) has presented it, he added. 

Setting up and introducing a new communication space to customers has been cited as the main aim of the Bank Melli Iran in launching “Melli Plus” platform, he said, adding, “I think we have been successful in this field as well because we received good reactions and feedbacks from target customers.”

On the other hand, other banks also received a good pattern of the platform in a way that launch of the platform was also taken into consideration at banking industry of the country.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Melli Iran pointed to the expectations of customers of the bank from banking services and stated that the bank, by launching “Melli Plus” Platform has meet some expectations of the customers.

Bank Melli Iran has created a new communications space in “Melli Plus” platform and “We will definitely see that customers have the new expectations from the bank in the new communications environment, so that this issue burdens the responsibility of the bank to a great extent.”

With the drastic measures taken by the CEO of Bank Melli Iran (BMI), “We concentrated the activity of knowledge-based companies in these branches.”

Planning is underway to promote and enhance the function of “Melli Plus” platform at the bank and it is hoped that launch of this platform will meet demands of customers of the banking system of the country optimally.

It is predicted that “Melli Plus” also could be set up in other branches of the bank, so that Mahmoudabad and Kashan branches of the bank are on the verge of being connected to the “Melli Plus” platform, he emphasized. 

Meanwhile, other demarcations are predicted in other provinces of the country for launching knowledge-based branches, he added. 

In the end, Shafiei Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Melli Iran pointed to the launch of third knowledge-based branch of Bank Melli Iran in PARDIS Science and Technology Park and added that BMI’s bank branch at PARDIS Science and Technology Park was a suitable branch in order to continue its activity within a framework of a knowledge-based branch. 

In response to a question whether “MElli Plus” can be a good pattern and model for other banks, he said, “Regardless of competition environment, other banks can take advantage of the experience of Bank Melli Iran in setting up this platform.”
It seems that target customers may have such expectation of launching “Melli Plus” in other banks, he opined.
