TEHRAN- TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 2,840 points to 1.469 million on Saturday.

As reported, over 7.062 billion securities worth 42.652 trillion rials (about $147 million) were traded at the TSE.

The first market’s index lost 3,617 points and the second market’s index dropped 959 points.

TEDPIX climbed 70,000 points to 1.472 million in the past Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

The index had risen 131,000 points (10.21 percent) to 1.414 million points in the Iranian calendar week ended on November 11.

As reported, it was the highest weekly rise during the current Iranian calendar year (began on March 21).
