Sahabi Released

TEHRAN Ezzatollah Sahabi, managing editor of the banned periodical Iran-e Farda and one of the participants of Berlin Conference, was released from Evin Prison on Monday.
Tehran's Justice Department in a statement on June 26, had said that Sahabi had been arrested by Branch 3 of the Islamic Revolution Court on the apprehension of his collaboration with other accused in the case of the Berlin Conference.
Chief Editor of Iran-e Farda Reza Alijani told IRNA on Tuesday that after a lapse of one month since Sahabi's case was referred to the Appeals Court by Branch 3 of the Islamic Revolution Court and the Appeals Court's refusal to address the case, Judge Qoddoussi reexamined the case and agreed to his release on bail.
Alijani said that in the retrial phase the bail sum had increased to Rls.500 million from former Rls.400 million.
He added that Sahabi is in a good health and had no complaints about his condition during the detention period in Evin Prison.
