Iran Wins Germany Intl. Kung Fu Toa Crown
In the Dortmund-based contests attended by 17 teams, the national kung fu toa of Iran managed to win 5 golds, one silver, and two bronze medals to stand first.
Hossein Rostami, Morteza Ali-Panahi, Yasser Sha'bani, Qobad Hassanpour, and Ja'far Erfanian-Khah grabbed 5 golds for Iran while their teammates Mohammad Pour-Sadeq Sadat finished second and bagged a silver and Adel Rouhani and Soleiman Qorbani took two bronze medals.
The national players of Iran dispatched to Germany were: Morteza Ali-Panahi, Hossein Rostami, Ali Baqeri, Soleiman Qorbani, Ja'far Erfanian-Khah, Adel Rouhani, Qobad Hassanpour, Yasser Sha'bani, and Mohammad Pour-Sadeq Sadat.
Reza Heidari steered the team as the head coach and Mohammad Haddad and Mostafa Dehqanian accompanied the team as head of kung fu toa style and technical manager respectively.
According to IRNA, the national kung fu toa team of Iran had also ranked first in the international martial arts contests held in Denmark in March.
