MOSCOW -- Three civilians, a Russian soldier and around a dozen Chechen rebels have been killed in the breakaway southern Republic of Chechnya over the previous 24 hours, the Russian government and army said on Tuesday. Two armed men broke into a house in the capital Grozny late on Monday and opened fire on the residents, killing a woman and wounding her husband and grand-daughter, Interfax news agency quoted the Russian Interior Ministry as saying. Two other Grozny residents were found dead in a street with gunshot wounds to the head, the ministry said.
