PHALABORWA, South Africa -- A Mozambican illegal immigrant was killed by a lion, which dragged the body through a small South African town in the country's northern Limpopo Province, a news report said on Sunday. The lion was seen pulling the body through the streets of Phalaborwa, about 400 kilometers (250 miles) northeast of Johannesburg on the border with the Kruger National Park, SABC radio reported. "The community in Phalaborwa, noticed the lion carrying the body of a human being. They called upon the police who started shooting at the lion," AFP reported. He wanted to sleep at the Kruger Park gate and that is where the lion found and killed him." The lion was unharmed.
