Iran's IAU Stands Third at France Freestyle Wrestling Meet

TEHRAN -- The Islamic Azad University (IAU) representing Iran in an international freestyle wrestling tournament in France ranked third.
IAU snatched two silver and one bronze medals to tie at No. 3 with Russia. The United States and Ukraine stood top and runner-up respectively.
The two-day wrestling event attended by 17 countries ended in Nice Sunday.
Reza Ramezanzadeh and Hamid Seifi bagged two silvers for Iran in the 74 and 96kg categories respectively and their teammate Ali Babaei-Ja'fari took the 66kg bronze, IRNA reported.
Due to skin disease and injury, the two Iranian wrestlers Mohammad Talaei and Pejman Dorostkar did not compete.
