BANGKOK (Reuters) - China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile phone firm, said on Tuesday its subscribers and service income should continue to grow next year due to low penetration in the mobile market in China, although recent industry restructuring had increased competition.
“For next year, we can continue to keep up growth, not only for subscriber acquisitions, but also the increase of voice use, value-added data services and data-based services,” Chairman and CEO Wang Jianzhou told reporters on the sidelines of a telecoms conference in Bangkok.China Mobile has been in talks with Apple Inc. to bring iPhone to China but has not reached an agreement yet, he said.
