TEHRAN -- ECO member countries have submitted 43 films to the 27th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

Turkey with 30 films ranks first among the ECO member countries and other films have been submitted by Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.
16 Islamic countries with 131 movies will compete at the International Section of the festival.
This edition of the festival is providing space for different cultural and cinematic institutes to set up stands at the festival’s venue.
Over 4,000 films from 95 countries were submitted to the secretariat of the gala. Additionally, veteran Iranian filmmakers from different cities in Iran submitted their works to the festival.
