Kazakh ambassador submits credentials to Salehi

TEHRAN – The new Kazakh ambassador to Tehran submitted his credentials to Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Saturday.
The Kazakh ambassador highlighted the important role of Iran in the international arena and called for expansion of bilateral cooperation, especially at the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).He also said that Kazakhstan is willing to use Iran’s engineering and scientific know-how to improve its economic situation.
Foreign Minster called for expansion of ties between Iran and Kazakhstan.
“Iran and Kazakhstan have had long-standing relationship, and considering the potential for promotion of ties, we are hopeful that bilateral relations would be expanded in the future,” Salehi said during the meeting.
Salehi also said the two countries can improve their cooperation in the international and regional organizations.
