TEHRAN – A visit to New York by Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, the head of the presidential chief of staff, has been canceled.

The cancellation followed opposition to the visit, the Mehr News Agency has learnt.
Rahim Mashaei was expected to visit New York to participate in Noruz (Persian New Year) festivities with the Iranians living in the United States.
