Roma and France defender Philippe Mexes looks set to miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury.

Mexes, 29, sustained the problem during Sunday's 2-0 Serie A defeat to Juventus and will have to undergo surgery to repair ligament damage.
A Roma statement read: ''Philippe Mexes underwent tests which have revealed a lesion in his anterior cross ligament in his left knee. The player will need to undergo surgery and the time of recovery will be evaluated in the coming days.''
