Iran finished in second place of the 3rd FINA men's Water Polo Development Trophy on Friday.

In the competitions held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Iran lost to host in the final match and finished runnerup
The match evened the score at 4-4 at the end of the normal playing time but Saudi Arabia beat Iran in a penalty shootout.
Iran had already defeated Trinidad & Tobago, Kuwait, the Netherlands Antilles and Tunisia in Pool A.
Pool B included Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Singapore, Peru and Chile
