TEHRAN - The commander of the Joint Staff of Armed Forces says all Iranians should support the government in its foreign policy.

The administration of Dr. Rouhani is a devoted government and the nuclear negotiators need prayers from the nation, Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said, according to a Saturday press release by his office.

Likening the Iranian nuclear negotiators to Basij fighters who fought against the invading Saddam army in the 1980s, he said, “As a Basij member and humble servant of the Iranian nation, I swear that our government today does not will except the good of the people, the revolution, and the country; and all must support it unanimously.”
