Police seize over 3 tons of illicit drugs

TEHRAN – Iran’s anti-narcotics police seized 3,000 kilograms of illicit drugs in Sistan-Balouchestan on Thursday.

Specialized police forces in the city of Nikshahr received information about an armed drug gang attempting to transit a big haul of illicit drugs using two pickup trucks, provincial police chief General Hossein Rahimi said, the IRIB reported.

In an overnight operation, police forces managed to identify the vehicles belonging to the members of the drug gang, and chased them into capture.
