Nomadic carpets, textile in limelight at Tehran exhibit

TEHRAN – A vast variety of handwoven rugs, carpets, and textile designs by Iranian nomads have been put on show at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.

It also turns the spotlight on Gabbeh rugs which combine thick, heavy pile with bold colors and shapes in unusual and exciting combinations.

Products of 30 provinces including Fars, Sistan-Baluchestan, Gilan, Isfahan, Golestan, and North Khorasan have been brought together for the exhibit that comes to an end on May 5.
