Bank loans to economic sector rise 21% in 2 months yr/yr

TEHRAN- Iranian banking system’s offered facilities to domestic economic sectors during the two-month period from March 21 to May 21 increased by 21 percent, in comparison with the same period of time in the year before, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced.

As reported, 689.5 trillion rials (about $16.33 billion) of loans were granted to Iranian economic sector in the said time, registering 119.8 trillion rials (about $2.83 billion) growth compared to the same time in the preceding year, the CBI website published.

Working capital loans paid to different economic sectors was above 450.9 trillion rials (about $9.61 billion) accounting for 65.4 percent of the total provided facilities in the said period, registering a 16.7 percent increase year on year.
