TEHRAN – Mohammad-Jalal Firouznia has been named as Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, replacing Mohamad Fathali, whose tenure has come to an end.

According to ISNA, Firouznia has served as Iran’s ambassador to Yemen, Bahrain and Malaysia.

He also served as the director general of the Persian Gulf office at the Foreign Ministry.

At the end of his four-year term, Fathali met with top Lebanese officials to say farewell. He will be on his way to Tehran very soon.
