TEHRAN – Mohammad Bakhshi, the director “Are You Volleyball?”, has sent an autographed poster and a copy of the acclaimed short movie on DVD to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Switzerland.

Bakhshi will be in Lausanne in November to present the poster and DVD to IOC President Thomas Bach during a special ceremony, a public relations team announced on Wednesday. 

The IOC is scheduled to organize a meeting in spring 2019 to honor Bakhshi and members of his cast and crew for their collaboration on the project

“Are You Volleyball?” tells the story of a group of Arabic-speaking asylum seekers who arrive at the border of an English-speaking country and can go no further. There are scuffles with the border guards every day until volleyball becomes the catalyst that improves relations.

Bakshi plans to make three sequels to the short film.
