TEHRAN – American philosopher Richard Rorty’s 2010 book “An Ethics for Today: Finding Common Ground Between Philosophy and Religion” has recently been published in Persian by Cheshmeh Publications in Tehran.

In the book translated by Ali Sayyah, Rorty rejects all theories of truth but also dismisses modern epistemology and its preoccupation with knowledge and representation.

At the same time, his belief that there can be no universally valid answers to moral questions led him to a complex view of religion rarely expressed in his writings.
