TEDPIX rises 4,400 points on Monday

TEHRAN- TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), gained 4,437 points to 1.409 million on Monday.

As reported, over 8.804 billion securities worth 40.723 trillion rials (about $140.4 million) were traded at the TSE.

The first market’s index rose 5,027 points, and the second market’s index gained 3,426 points.

TEDPIX rose 8,000 points to 1.413 million points in the past Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

The index had risen 131,000 points (10.21 percent) to 1.414 million points in the Iranian calendar week ended on November 11.

As reported, it was the highest weekly rise during the current Iranian calendar year (began on March 21).

After a long period of decline, the stock market transactions finally returned to the upward cycle from the last two weeks and under the influence of the decisions taken by the government and the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), and increased the hope of shareholders to invest again in this market and obtain a reasonable return from it.

TSE is one of the four Iranian stock exchanges, and the most important one. The other three ones are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), and Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).
