TEHRAN – Hedayat Mombeini was appointed as new Secretary General of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) on Tuesday.

He replaced Davoud Parhizgar, who was serving as FFIRI caretaker since late August.

Mombeini is a former Iranian referee and had also worked as one of the federation’s Board of Directors in the past years.
