TEDPIX loses 7,300 points on Wednesday

TEHRAN- TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 7,300 points to 2.121 million on Wednesday.

As reported, over six billion securities worth 44.632 trillion rials (about $91 million) were traded at the TSE.

TSE is one of the four Iranian stock exchanges, and the most important one. The other three ones are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), and Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB). 

Head of Iran’s Securitas and Exchange Organization (SEO) Majid Eshqi said that using the capacities of the country’s private sector in the stock market has been one of the main strategies of the organization over the past year.
