TEHRAN – A member of Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee has commented about the consequences of U.S. President Joe Biden’s role in the ongoing Gaza conflict.

Abolfazl Amoui delivered a comprehensive assessment of recent events in the Palestinian enclave, emphasizing the significance of actions and decisions currently being taken by the world leaders.

He said that the United States is greatly responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip, underlining the Biden administration’s unequivocal support for the atrocities of the Zionist regime.

The lawmaker drew parallels with Biden’s destructive role in the Ukraine war.

“We are in a historical turning point,” Amouei remarked. He alluded to a statement by the United States’ president to Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, stating that developments in the next one to two years would significantly influence the trajectory for the next five decades.

Delving into the complex conditions prevailing in Gaza, Amouei expressed his admiration for the resilience of the Palestinian people. He acknowledged their steadfastness under the prolonged siege. 

“Despite these challenges, the people of Gaza, alongside the unwavering resistance groups, stood firm, even sacrificing their lives for the cause,” he added.

Amouei described the situation in Gaza as both distressing due to the loss of innocent lives, and hopeful, highlighting the emergence of figures that could shape the future course of history.
