At least 41 people were killed on Sunday as Israeli strikes intensified across Gaza, with Gaza City hammered by artillery, gunfire, and naval shelling.

One attack hit a residential building in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, hurling shrapnel into a nearby displacement camp and killing and injuring families sheltering in tents, Al Jazeera reported, citing medical and local sources.

Gaza’s government media office issued a statement saying Israel has been systematically bombing towers, homes, schools, mosques, hospitals, and humanitarian facilities to force displacement.

Health officials reported two more deaths from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, underscoring a hunger crisis that has claimed hundreds of lives, many of them children.

An aid center north of Rafah came under fire, killing and injuring civilians, while al-Quds Hospital reported fatalities in Tal al-Hawa.

Since October 2023, Israeli bombardment has pushed Gaza’s death toll beyond 64,800, while destroying vital infrastructure and leaving those repeatedly displaced with ever-fewer places to seek safety.
