TEHRAN — Iranians celebrated the Nature Day, also known as Sizdah Bedar, on Sunday nationwide by spending the day outside in the nature.
As a deep-rooted and long-standing tradition, Iranians usually spend the last day of Noruz holidays (starting on March 21) in the nature next to streams or rivers in meadows or forests after 12 days of festivities to mark the end of the joyous occasion by spending the day outside and doing recreational activities collectively.
Gathering in big or small groups, families usually choose a nice idyllic spot to set up a camp or have a picnic, make lunch, and play outdoor games as a perfect ending to a perfect holiday.Tehran Times / Mehran Riazi
