TEHRAN – The U.S. is collecting classified documents and certain (espionage) equipment from regional countries in order to keep them out of the reach of regional people, an intelligence official at Iran’s Armed Forces has said.

“The White House and the behind-the-scene lobby group (who had a hand) in the recent crimes in the region, being afraid of popular uprisings by regional nations against dictators… are seeking to collect classified documents of these countries and transfer them to their deployed warships in regional waters,” IRNA quoted the official as saying on Wednesday.
Then the documents will be transferred to Washington, he added.
The decision was made in case the classified documents will be used against the U.S. like what happened in certain countries in the past, where their dictators were ousted, he noted.
He also said the United States is seeking to maintain its security in the region through suppressing the popular movements
