TEHRAN - Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi has said claims that Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has been killed are meant to overshadow the Islamic awakening taking place in the region.

“According to the accurate reports and information that we have, bin Laden had died before,” Moslehi told reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting held on Sunday.
Salehi also said that the scenario of the killing of bin Laden was devised due to the upcoming presidential elections in the United States.
“Why did the U.S. intelligence system not show the body of bin Laden and said that they have thrown its body into the sea?”
