TEHRAN – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said he is proud that he stood with the Turkish nation against the failed military coup against the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Proud to stand with brave brothers and sisters in Turkey in support of democracy. More cooperation for peace is ahead,” Zarif said in message posted on his Twitter account on Sunday after his return from Turkey.
