TEHRAN – Iran’s armed forces deputy chief of staff on Sunday hailed the Syrian army’s success to recapture the city of Aleppo from terrorist groups after a four-year battle, saying the major victory shattered Washington’s dreams of a disintegrated Syria.

Hailing the liberation of Aleppo as a “major and strategic victory” in the war against terrorism in the region, Massoud Jazayeri told Tasnim the enemies are doing their utmost to prolong the war in Syria.
