TEHRAN – The police will confront any kind of protest in front of the Turkish embassy in Tehran, Tehran deputy governor-general for security affairs announced on Monday.

No permit has been issued and any congregation around the Turkish embassy will be illegal, Mohsen Hamedani told ISNA.

As of 9:00 am, no request has been received for a gathering in front of the Turkish embassy and therefore no permit has been issued, he said a few days after groups held protests outside Iranian embassy in Ankara.
