TEHRAN – Iran and Switzerland underlined promotion of nuclear safety cooperation on Saturday during a meeting between Swiss Ambassador to Iran Markus Leitner and head of Iran’s Nuclear Safety System Center Hojatollah Salehi.

The two countries had already agreed to cooperate on nuclear safety after heads of the nuclear safety system held a meeting last August and specialized workshop were held in Tehran.

A high-ranking delegation from Switzerland is scheduled to visit the Ramsar Natural Radiation Research Center next year, when the two sides are expected to negotiate and exchange views on new ways of cooperation.
