TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that Iran and Germany play effective roles in their respective regions and have great potential for cooperate in order find peaceful resolutions for global challenges.

In a message to his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Rouhani congratulated the Day of German Unity, the national day of the European country that is celebrated on October 3 as a public holiday, Tasnim reported.

The historic and friendly relations between the two sides provide the grounds for growing bilateral cooperation on regional and international issues, the president stated.
