TEHRAN – The Iranian Army has dispatched combat and civilian service units to borders with Iraq in order to ensure the security of Arbaeen pilgrims and provide them with a range of services, a commander said on Monday.

According to Javad Mowlaee, the deputy chief of the Army’s Western Base, the military force has ramped up the security of western borders to deal with any possible threat during the pilgrimage, Tasnim reported.

Mowlaee said the Army has set up a field hospital at the Mehran border crossing which includes various medical units such as an intensive care unit (ICU) and a surgery unit.
