TEHRAN- A wave of rocket and drone attacks from Lebanon triggered sirens across northern Israel on Wednesday, as Iran simultaneously launched eight waves of missiles toward Israel in what appeared to be a coordinated action, according to Israeli Radio.

The coastal city of Nahariya sustained a direct hit, with Israeli emergency services reporting one fatality and several wounded. Footage from the scene showed multiple vehicles on fire.

The Israeli Home Front Command confirmed that sirens sounded across large swaths of the country, including Greater Tel Aviv, Al-Quds, West Bank settlements, and the Jordan Valley. Additional alerts were later reported in Ashdod and Ashkelon.

Israeli officials claimed a large wave of missiles was intercepted by air defense systems, with shrapnel scattering across central Israel. Interceptor fragments landed in the central city of Modi'in, where emergency crews conducted searches.
The coordinated assaults from Iran and Hezbollah mark one of the most intense attacks on Israel since the current conflict began.
