TEHRAN Iran and Switzerland agreed to expand their cooperation in the field of drug fight, an Iranian deputy foreign minister said Friday.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs, Ali Ahani, who went to Switzerland Thursday said he had met with Swiss Foreign Minister Joseph Deiss and Economy Minister Pascal Couchepin.

Ahani conveyed the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi to his Swiss counterpart.

In his meeting with Couchepin, Iran and Switzerland agreed to tighten their economic and trade ties by mutual investment in Iran and Switzerland.
