TEHRAN -- The Rira Abi Institute is planning for the Second International Festival of Peace Poetry, which will be held in Tehran on May 15, 2009.

The institute has recently invited the world’s poets to send a maximum of three pieces with English translation to poet.peace@Gmail.com. The deadline for applications is February 12, 2009.
The festival aims to promote world peace through highlighting the peace in the world poetry.
Organizers of the festival are scheduled to be honored by the Cheshmeh publishing company, one of the festival’s sponsors, during a ceremony at the Iranian Artists Forum on May 10.
