TEHRAN -- Ali Karimi’s hat trick could not prevent Persepolis loss against the plucky Abumoslem in the 10th week of the Iran’s Professional League (IPL) in Mashhad on Wednesday.

Meisam Bao put the host ahead in the 13th minute. His shot past Mehdi Vaezi’s at his near post. He doubled the score in the 27th minute, scoring from the edge of six yards zone.
Persepolis recovered from two goals down to a draw in the 40th and 49th minutes. Ali Karimi’s headers past Shahab Gordan, Abumoslem’s keeper into the goal.
Davoud Daneshdust gave Abumoslem the lead again in the 71st minute with a superb shot from Persepolis’s box. Hossein Khani scored Abumoslem’s fourth goal 11 minutes before the time ran out.
Persepolis put the hosts under pressure and eventually Ali Karimi kept the Tehran based team’s hopes alive in the 87th minute but his header could not thwart Persepolis’ heavy defeat in Mashhad
