Iranians to stage rallies to condemn Gaza blockade

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Iranians will stage a nationwide anti-Zionist demonstration on Friday in support of the oppressed people in Gaza, Coordination Council for Islamic Publicity and the Headquarters of Qods and Intifada said in a statement on Wednesday.

Iranian people bring to attention the atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza to the people of the world, said the statement.
Gaza has maintained its steadfastness against any humiliation and aggression to hoist the banner of Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein (AS), the third Imam of the household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during Ashura (the tenth day of the lunar mourning month of Muharram which is the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) in the plains of Karbala in Iraq), said the statement.
""Today, we are witnessing the people in Gaza, who are under very tough and inhuman blockade, are determined not to give up the achievements of Islamic resistance,"" the statement said.
Gaza, which is suppressed by medieval violence and terrors, is now looking for the firm action of Islamic movements and Islamic countries in facing the situation, it said.
The committee has urged people from all walks of lives to vehemently condemn the crimes and atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Al-Khalil.
