TEHRAN – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s plan to visit Latin America has been postponed, Foreign Ministry Spokesman said on Monday.

Hassan Qashqavi told reports that Ahmadinejad will travel to Syria today to hold talks with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad on issues of mutual interest as well as regional developments.
The Iranian president will later pay official visits to Brazil, Venezuela and Ecuador, Qashqavi said.
He added that further details on his visits will soon be released by the presidential office
