TEHRAN-- The spokesman of the Supreme National Security Council’s special committee on the post-election events has announced that most of the suspects arrested on charges of perpetrating illegal acts at the Kahrizak detention center have been released on bail.

This committee deals with issues such as the prosecution of elements involved in the post-election unrest and the Kahrizak detention center events, Parviz Sorouri said on Wednesday.
If there is a pressing need to inform the people about a special issue, the committee will do so, Sorouri said.
The verdicts will depend on the judge’s opinion, but in a meeting with the Tehran prosecutor general, “we negotiated over the release of the defendants,” he added.
Commenting on the recent terrorist attacks in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Sorouri said that a parliamentary delegation consisting of members of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has visited the province to examine security issues.
In a meeting, the Majlis security committee and the Sistan-Baluchestan Province Security Council made decisions about the details of the investigation of the recent terrorist act, he stated.
These terrorist assaults and similar actions are being carried out to divide the people and the authorities and to humiliate the security organs, he noted.
“An Iranian delegation will be sent to Pakistan (to pursue the issue) very soon, and some MPs will accompany the group,” he added
