Mobarakeh steel exports up 40%

TEHRAN -- Some 450,000 tons of products worth $207 million have been exported from Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Complex in the past nine months.

The mentioned amount is 40 percent more than the previous year’s figure in terms of volume, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported.

Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Complex’s export volume is estimated to reach 700,000 tons by the end of current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2010).

The complex exported 350,000 tons of products in the previous Iranian calendar year.

Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Complex annually produces 5.4 million tons of products which is half of the nation’s total production
