TEHRAN -- Iran plans to screen all U.S. citizens applying for tourist visas to enter the country in response to the United States’ decision to screen travelers from Iran, MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday.

The U.S. recently approved a plan to screen foreign visitors from certain countries, including Iran.
Some time ago, Tehran decided to fingerprint U.S. citizens visiting Iran in response to the U.S. decision to fingerprint Iranians entering the United States, Boroujerdi told reporters.
The Majlis drafted a bill and MPs passed it, he stated.
And the new U.S. decision will compel Iran to respond in kind, he added.
From now on, all U.S. citizens who intend to enter Iran will be fingerprinted and they will also be screened if the U.S. screens Iranians attempting to enter the United States
