YASUJ – Iran is ready to help the U.S. and its allies extricate themselves from the quagmire in the region, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in an address to the people of the southwestern city of Yasuj on Wednesday.
He also said the era of occupying other countries and pillaging their national resources is over, advising the U.S. to pull out its troops from the region.
“You should listen to the Iranian people’s advice; live with other nations based on justice and friendship like human beings, leave the region, leave Afghanistan, leave Iraq,” he stated.
Tehran blames Washington for creating instability in the Middle East, which has gripped the region.
The 2001 invasion of Afghanistan was launched with the pretext of curbing terrorism and bringing peace and stability to the country.
The White House now plans to dispatch 30,000 extra troops to the country in the summer to counter the increasing militancy in Afghanistan
