Amr Moussa blasts apathy of Arab states toward Iran

TEHRAN – Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa has expressed dissatisfaction at lack of talks between Iran and Arab countries, the UAE-based Arabic language Al-Bayan newspaper reported.

Moussa sited Iran’s recent nuclear deal with Turkey and Brazil, and called for expansion of interactions of Arab states with Iran and Turkey.
Iran, Brazil, and Turkey signed an agreement on Monday on a nuclear fuel swap to provide fuel for the Tehran research reactor.
Moussa pointed to Iran’s nuclear talks with Turkey and some Latin American countries and criticized Arab nations for lacking interactions with Iran with regard to its nuclear program.
“Is it sensible that Arab states do not have talks with a country like Iran that has a nuclear program with such dignity and grandeur?” he asked.
