TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has urged a “full, precise, comprehensive and continuous” implementation of the Article 44 of the Constitution which calls for privatization of state companies.

“Implementation of this article will resolve most of the problems,” the Supreme Leader told a gathering of employers and exemplary persons in industrial and agricultural fields on Tuesday.
Ayatollah Khamenei also called on the government to “properly manage the country’s financial resources” and “improve business atmosphere”.
He also said it is necessary to reduce red tape, change some regulations, and provide facilities in order to improve business atmosphere.
Elsewhere in his talks, the Leader said, ""Excessive and illogical import is a big danger.”
The Leader also called on the concerned bodies to improve the quality of domestic products.
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that “Iran’s readiness to make a leap (toward progress) and economic pressure imposed by the enemies prove that the country is in need of job creation more than ever.”
The enemies seek to exhaust the nation through economic pressure so that people would blame the government for poor economic performance, he noted.
“We circumvent sanctions and disappoint” those countries which have imposed sanctions on Iran, the Leader emphasized.
He also insisted on the creation of a “truly resistant economy” to counter the sanctions and economic pressures.
