TEHRAN – No country can dare to inspect Iranian ships, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast said on Wednesday.

Certain countries have threatened they would inspect the Iranian ships but there have been no report of inspections and it will not happen because Iran has enormously improved its defense capability, Mehmanparast told Army commanders, personnel, and military academy students.
He went on to say that Iran’s activities are aimed at expanding its defense capability as well as maintaining regional peace and security.
He also said if the enemy had found an opportunity to attack Iran, it would have not hesitated.
If the enemy did not attack Iran it was because it lacked the power to do so, the ranking diplomat noted.
He went on to say that whenever pressure has mounted on Iran, people have strengthened their unity.
He added the enemy resorted to creating tension among people after the 2009 presidential election.
Unrest erupted after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the election last year.
The spokesman said the Iranian nationals in foreign countries, who lined up to cast their ballots for the presidential election last year, were insulted by some individuals.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mehmanparast pointed to Sakineh Ashtiani, saying her dossier has turned into a human rights issue in the West.
Sakineh Ashtiani has received a death sentence for committing murder and this sentence takes precedence over her conviction for committing adultery.
Ashtiani’s photo has been even hung up the wall of a European country’s prime ministry office and even female cabinet members in another country in Europe say “call us Sakineh from now on”.
