4 PJAK members arrested in Iran

TEHRAN – In an operation last week the border police arrested 4 terrorist members of the PJAK, border police commander Hossein Zolfaqari said in a meeting with the commander of Kuwait’s coast guard in Tehran on Tuesday.

PJAK is an offshoot of the internationally-recognized terrorist group the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) that conducts deadly operations in Kurdish-populated regions of Iran.
Zolfaqari also said there is no border problem between Iran and Kuwait in the Persian Gulf.
He noted that some piracy cases have been reported in waters between Iran and Kuwait and necessary measures have been taken in this regard.
Iran and Kuwait also signed a cooperation agreement to fight drug smuggling, human trafficking, and illegal traffic and fishing
