TEHRAN - Developing friendly ties with Iran is a foreign policy priority of Brasilia, the Brazilian ambassador to Tehran said on Sunday.

At a meeting with MP Zohreh Elahian, Ambassador Anthony Salgado stated that Brazil is opposed to the politicization of the human rights issue at international organizations.
The Brazilian ambassador also noted that Iran has made significant progress in human rights issues, particularly in the area of women’s rights.
Elahian said Iran and Brazil have great potential to strengthen their ties in the political and economic spheres.
She also stated that the enemies are attempting to impose more pressure on Iran by creating a commotion about the human rights situation in the country.
When the human rights issue is used as a tool, it undermines the struggle for human rights throughout the world, the MP added
